Purusha Jones is a native of New Jersey and has lived in North Carolina since 1995. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at Saint Augustine's University, where she first began her modeling career with Nubiance Modeling Troupe. It was at this time she began working with and coaching young ladies; assisting and teaching self-confidence and elegance on the runway. As a natural leader, she has received the ACHI Magazine Woman of Influence Award, St. Augustine's University 45 under 45 Alumni Award, Beauty and Barber’s Plus Model of the Year Award, Divas on Fire Model of the Year Award and Women That Care Community Leader Award. Purusha has since founded a non-profit, Purusha Jones Foundation Inc. Where she works to empower teens and women through confidence building, community service, scholarships and etiquette classes. 

In 2014, Purusha Jones was crowned the Pageant Director for the Ms. Full-Figured NC Pageant, LLC. Since then, she was promoted to the Head Director and assists with managing all other states under the Ms. Full Figured USA brand. It is her mission to instill in her pageant delegates and Queens, the importance of giving back to the community through volunteerism and community service. She believes that, "Anyone can be a Beauty Queen, but giving back is PRICELESS.”

She is passionate about touching the lives of women everywhere. She works tirelessly empowering and inspiring young ladies and women while living and sharing her motto:  You never have to wonder what people see, because you “SHINE” through and no one can deny true self.
